Collection: The Kouri-Vini Collection

Éy laba! (Hey there!).

Kouri-Vini (Louisiana Creole) is a  language indigenous to Louisiana but not to be confused with Louisiana French. Kouri-Vini has been spoken in Louisiana as far back as 1700's. Today, it is an endangered language because less than 10,000 people speak it.

We are proud to be Kréyòl La Lwizyàn (Louisiana Creole) & this Kouri-Vini Collection of products at Expensive Joy is our way of helping to preserve the language and express pride in our kréyol léritaj (Creole heritage).

Prenn kouraj é kontiné parlé kréyòl (take courage and keep speaking creole)!
